ON/OFF switch with
built-in circuit breaker
The Stairway Elevator includes an on/off switch with
a bult-in circuit breaker.
The circuit breaker protects the battery, controller
and motor circuits in the stairway elevator carriage.
It is unlikely that the circuit break will trip during
normal use.
However, should the Stairway Elevator fail to operate
correctly, first check the circuit breaker. If it has
tripped, determine the cause, eliminate it, and reset
the circuit breaker.
Possible causes of circuit breaker tripping:
1.
foreign object jamming the rail or gear rack;
2.
exceeding the rated weight capacity of the
stairway elevator.
The Stairway Elevator includes a fuse to protect the
battery charging circuit and the remote call/send
transmitter electronics.
The fuse is installed in the factory prior to shipment
of the stairway elevator.
Replacing a blown fuse
1.
Set the ON/OFF switch (see above) to OFF.
2.
Disconnect the battery charger from the rail
charge lead.
3.
Remove the carriage cover.
