– Clean both halves of the
crankcase.
– Stick the heat reflecting foil in
position, without creases, so that
it covers the housing wall at the
clutch side.
If the crankcase is new, perform the
following additional operations.
– Install the chain brake,
b 5.4.3
– Fit bar mounting studs, b 5.6
– Install chain tensioner, b 5.5
Install all other parts in the reverse
sequence.

Decompression Valve

– Remove the shroud, b 6.4
: Remove the cover (1).
: Unscrew the decompression
valve (2).
Install in the reverse sequence.
– Fit the decompression valve and
tighten it down firmly, b 3.5
– Fit the cover (1).
– Fit the shroud, b 6.4
7. Ignition System
Exercise extreme caution when
troubleshooting or carrying out
maintenance and repair work on the
ignition system. The high voltages
that occur can cause serious or
even fatal accidents.
Troubleshooting on the ignition
system should always begin at the
spark plug, b 4.4
