9.2 Declaration of conformity
Pulse-shaped disturbance variables
The following table shows the electromagnetic compatibility of the ET 200SP motor starters
with regard to pulse-shaped interference.
Table 9- 1
Pulse-shaped disturbance variable
Burst pulses (fast transients) in
accordance with IEC 61000-4-4
*If you mount the motor starter to the right of a 15 mm or 20 mm I/O module or immediately next to a
header module, use a dummy module. You will find further information in Chapter "Application plan-
ning (Page 25)."
High-energy single pulse (surge) in
accordance with IEC 61000-4-5
**External protective circuit required (see the Function Manual Designing interference-free control-
lers) if values of 2 kV (phase to ground) or 1 kV (phase to phase) are required.

Declaration of conformity
The manufacturer declares that the safety components of the SIMATIC ET 200SP motor
starter series in the designs marketed by us comply with the applicable basic health and
safety requirements of the EC Directives* stated (including amendments), and that the stated
standards* were applied in their design and construction.
* You can download the complete EC Declaration of Conformity from the Internet
