In order to connect the cables and gas lines, you
will need to have access to the instrument's rear
panel.*
* All directional descriptions for this section
are written on the assumption that you are
facing the back of the instrument.
Connect all cables before connecting the power
cords to outlets. Tighten the thumbscrews on all
computer cables.
When plugging or unplugging power cords,
always handle them by the plugs, not by the
cords.
Protect power and communications cable
paths. Do not create tripping hazards by
laying them across accessways.
1. Locate the GPIB connector on the right rear
of the instrument (see Figure 2.11).
2. Connect the GPIB cable to the GPIB con-
nector. The GPIB cable is the only cable
that fits into this connector.
3. Tighten the hold-down screws on the
connector.
4. Connect the other end of the GPIB cable to
the controller or to the GPIB cable of
another TA Instruments instrument con-
nected to the controller.
