3. REMOTE
By selecting RT, NBDP, DMC, or NMEA and pressing [ENT] key, Remote Test or Loopback Test is
executed. MIF command, CAID outputs for the tests.
These tests disregard RT PORT and NBDP settings in SYSTEM menu.

The DSC-60 transmits test data to the connected equipment and receives the response #IDxxxx (where
xxxx is the model name. For example, when FS-1562 is connected, xxxx is FS1562). The command
outputs three times, and then, if no response occurs, "NG" is displayed.
If IC-302 is connected to the DMC terminal, DMC CHECK becomes "NG". In NMEA check, DSC-60
is connected to the NMEA terminal.

This loopback test is executed to check internal I/O circuit for each port with the peripheral unit discon-
nected. Disconnect the unit connected to the port to be checked, and put a jumper between TX and RX
lines. #CAID command is sent out through the TX line and #ID is received through the RX line if the I/
O circuit is normal. The command outputs three times, and then, if no response occurs, "NG" is dis-
played.
