The current date and time is displayed in the LCD, while the telephone is on-
hook and in standby mode.
The telephone extension (E.164) number (if available) is also displayed in the
LCD while the telephone is on-hook and in standby mode.

Originating Calls

Users can make calls using a handset or the handsfree feature. (Refer to
"Handsfree" on page 28 for a detailed discussion of handsfree operation.)

Using the Handset

To originate a call using the handset:
1. Pick up the handset (the telephone is off-hook).
2. Dial the telephone number (or extension number), or the IP address of the
called party.

Using the Phone Book

To originate a call using the phone book:
1. Press M to access the phone book. (Refer to "Phone Book" on page 28
for instructions for adding, editing, or deleting Phone Book entries.)
2. Once the phone book is displayed, use either the L or M to navigate
through the entries.
3. Once the desired entry is displayed in the LCD, press Select to initiate
the call.
To cancel out of the phone book, press Cancel/Del.
