To prepare the assembly of the 10V40 MyoWrist 2Act, the inner hand must
be separated from the mechanism. For this purpose, use of the 711M1
Hand Holding Tool with 711M2 Mounting Plate is recommended (fig. 2).
To remove the hand cable of the 8E41 Ottobock System Electric Hand,
first loosen the 9E83 Lock Nut using the 709Z7 Special Wrench (fig. 3).
4.1.1 Disassembly of the hand cable

To loosen the hand cable in the mechanism, the control electronics must
be removed.
1. Loosen the plug of the hand cable from the system electronics
(Fig. 4).
2. Cut the hand cable in two (Fig. 5).
3. Pull the hand cable along with the 9E70 Cable Bushing (will be needed
later) out of the threaded stud of the hand and dispose of the two cable
residues.
4. Carefully remove the cover of the flat plugs (fig. 6).
5. Carefully loosen the plug connections (fig. 7).
6. Loosen the screw connections of the system electronics (fig. 8 + 9).
7. Remove the system electronics (fig. 10).
DMC plus and Digital Twin System Electric Hands (except hand size 7)
To loosen the hand cable in the mechanism, the control electronics must
be removed.
1. Completely open the hand. Disassemble the 9E78 Bow Spring (fig. 11)
using a screwdriver. Use a piece of leather, for example, to protect the
mechanism from damage (fig. 11).
2. Unscrew the attachment screws of the control electronics (fig. 12).
3. Loosen the plug connections and remove the control electronics (fig. 13).
Unsolder the hand cable from the plug using the 711M12 Soldering Jig
(fig. 14). Pull out the exposed cable along with the 9E70 Cable Bush-
ing (will be needed later) through the chassis on the side of the plug.
