Enable LLDP trapping.

Enable LLDP-MED
trapping (in Layer 2/Layer

5.
Return to system view.
6.
(Optional.) Set the LLDP
trap transmission interval.

About MAC address learning for DCN

For the data communication network (DCN) to implement operation, administration, and
maintenance on network elements (NEs), you must configure the NEs to learn their neighbors' MAC
addresses through LLDP.
An NE learns the MAC address of its neighbor through the ARP or ND entry generated based on the
management address TLV in LLDP frames received from the neighbor. For more information about
DCN, see Layer 3—IP Routing Configuration Guide.
