8.2 DESCALING
To remove the scale deposited inside the kettle and on the heating element, prepare
a water solution of spirit vinegar (1 part of vinegar per 2 parts of water). Pour the
solution into the kettle and heat. DO NOT boil! Leave the solution in the kettle for
approx. 1 hour, then pour away. Refll the kettle with fresh water and boil. Pour out the
water and remove the scale residues with a damp cloth. If the scale is thick, descale
more frequently. Do not descale with any chemicals for descaling espresso/coffee
machines or irons.
Caution! The frequency of descaling shall depend on the quality and type of water.
Descale if the heating element is covered with scale across 1/4 of the surface area.
This appliance has no parts serviceable by the user. Do not attempt to repair the
appliance on your own. Always have a professional repair the appliance for you.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, their
authorised technical service or a qualified professional.
1. Clean the appliance as instructed herein and leave until completely dry. It is
recommended the appliance is stored in its original packaging.
2. Always keep the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated place that is out of the
reach of children.
3. Always handle the appliance by its grips/handles.
4. Place the power cord in the recess under the power base.
5. Protect the appliance against vibration and shocks during transportation.
