5. The surface of the appliance heats up when in use.
6. When cleaning parts that come into direct contact with food,
follow the rules in section 8 Cleaning and maintenance.

Caution! Risk of scalding! Do not touch the hot surfaces
(housing, handle and lid directly adjacent to it) and be careful
of steam emitted by the appliance. Hold the appliance only
by its handle.
8. WARNING! Avoid pouring water over the power cord at the
connector.
9. WARNING! Improper use poses an injury risk.
10. After use, the heating element may still be hot. Be cautious.
11. This appliance is intended for domestic use.
12. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
13. WARNING! If the electric kettle is overfilled, boiling water may
splash out.
14. WARNING! Never open the lid when water is boiling.
15. If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, an authorized service centre or a qualified
individual, so as to avoid hazards.
16. The electric kettle must be connected to a 220–240 V~ 50/60 Hz alternating current
mains through a grounded outlet.
17. Use the kettle only to boil water, in accordance with its intended use.
18. Do not turn on the kettle if it is filled with water above the maximum or below the
minimum level. If the electric kettle is overfilled, boiling water may splash out. Do not
turn the kettle on if it is empty.
19. To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the plug, the power cord or the appliance
itself in water or other liquids.
20. Do not hang the power cord over a table or sink edge.
21. Do not use an extension cord. If, however, you are willing to take responsibility for such
an action, use only an extension cord in good technical condition, with proper grounding,
and suitable for supplying the amount of power the appliance needs.
22. The power cord should not hang freely or touch any hot surface.
23. Place the appliance at a safe distance from other kitchen appliances that become hot,
such as an oven, electric cooker, gas burner etc.
24. Make sure that the connection between the kettle and its base is not wet. Do not
immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
25. Do not cover the appliance when it is switched on or when it is hot.
26. This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
