The EdEx thruster combines all structural elements of a complete
hydraulic system in one structural unit. This comprises a three-phase
asynchronous motor (direct current motor in the special version), a
closed hydraulic system and the work cylinder with piston and lifting
rod. The hydraulic system's operating fluid is used to generate the
force.
