SECTION 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING AND FAULT CODES
Error Description
The battery voltage is too low or
too high.
Driver of EB coil is damaged (not
able to close).
Evp2 driver is failed shorted.
Evp driver is failed shorted.
Feedback current from motor's
sensor not constantly kept at 0.
Evp1 coil in not connected.
Evp2 coil in not connected.
Fault detected in the inverter.
amplifiers.
Overvoltage/ Under voltage
condition has been detected.
Motor Voltage feedback circuits
are damaged.
Problem in the inverter.
Temperature rise in the inverter.
High motor temperature.
The inverter does not receive any
information from CAN BUS line.
Smart driver is open, not able to
provide EB positive.
Anomaly detected on encoder
(= engine rpm sensor).
Motor output voltage lower than
expected.
The signal from the temperature
sensor is higher than 4.95 Volt or
lower than 0.1 Volt.
Corrective Action
Check the battery voltage.
Replace the inverter.
Check the inverter feed.
Check the inverter feed.
Control the connection with the
motor
Check the main relay; replace the
inverter
Check the main relay; replace the
inverter.
Usually it is a temporary anomaly
due to a working condition. In
case the anomaly persists replace
the inverter.
Replace the Inverter.
Check the feed on the inverter
(12V and 48/72V).
Replace the inverter.
Control the inverter connections
and supply; replace the inverter.
Allow better cooling to the
inverter. If the anomaly remains,
contact JLG.
Stop the machine temporarily to
enable motor cooling.
Control the connections with the
multi-function tool
Check the inverter supply and
connections; replace the inverter.
Control the rpm sensor
connection. The anomaly may
also be caused by a bearing fault.
Check the connections from the
inverter to the electric motor;
check the internal electric motor
connections.
Usually it is a temporary anomaly
due to a working condition. In
case the anomaly persists replace
the inverter.
