The following crite ria s hould be cons ide re d whe n s e le cting a s ite to ins ta ll the s witch:
• Te mpe rature and Ve ntilatio n: For prope r ve ntila tion, ins ta ll the s witch whe re the re is a mple
a irflow to the front a nd ba ck of the s witch. The a mbie nt te mpe ra ture s hould not go be low 0° or
e xce e d 40° C.
Impo rtant! To pre ve nt the s witch from ove rhe a ting, do not ope ra te it in a n a re a whe re the a mbie nt te mpe ra ture
e xce e ds 40°C (104°F).
• Airflo w Orie ntatio n: De te rmine the a irflow dire ction of the four fa n module s a nd two powe r s upply
module s on the re a r pa ne l.

• Blue Handle : Air Inle t module .

• Air Inle t mo dule s : orie nt the re a r pa ne l towa rd the cool a is le .
If the a irflow dire ction is not compa tible with the ins ta lla tion s ite , conta ct your s a le s re pre s e nta tive
to obta in module s tha t circula te a ir in the oppos ite dire ction.
• Rac k S pac e : Ins ta ll the s witch in a 19" ra ck or ca bine t. The s witch he ight is 1 RU. The a cce s s ory
kit provide s mounting bra cke ts for two-pos t a nd four-pos t ra cks .

he a vie s t e quipme nt a t the bottom. Loa d the s witch a t the bottom if it is the only ite m in the ra ck.
• Po we r Re quire me nts : The s witch re quire s one of the s e circuits :
• 100-240 VAC, 5.29-2.2 A, 50-60 Hz A.
• 40-72 VDC, 13.9–7.72 A.
