Functional description

The modular GEMÜ 553 distribution valve
comprises various globe valve modules.
These can be equipped with manual or
pneumatic operators. The downstream
media is isolated using a PTFE seal. The
valve spindle is sealed by a self-adjusting
gland packing. This provides a low-
maintenance and reliable valve spindle seal
even after an extended period of operation.
The wiper ring that is installed upstream of
the gland packing also protects this against
contamination and damage.
Connection modules are available for
integrating the distribution valve into the
plant.
The individual modules can be easily
connected using screws. The seal on
the connection flange and between the
individual valve bodies has an FPM O-ring.
The single modules are each rotatable in
90° increments and can optionally be paired
with each other.
The distribution valve enables various
functions such as the distribution, mixing
and collection of media. Universal modules
enable media to be separated and / or
sensors to be integrated. Filters can
optionally be integrated into the process
connections, preventing penetration by
larger particles.
Diverse accessories are available, e.g.
electrical position indicators, combi
switchboxes and pilot valves.
