3. Setting values in commands: Standard Mode vs. Page Mode
(1) Values specified using a command are used in both the Standard and
Page Modes,. with the exception of
of these commands, values are set for each mode individually.
(2) When horizontal tab positions are specified in Page Mode using
the positions are set in Standard Mode at first, then the results are
transformed into those suitable for Page Mode. When horizontal tab
positions exceeding one line are specified in Standard Mode using
ESC
D, and a horizontal tab command
position is at the end of a line, the command is executed at the begining
of the next line. But in Page Mode, the same command sequence
results in feeding a line only.
(3) The maximum number of dots for a bit image is 210 in Standard Mode.
In Page Mode, a bit image with a y direction (i.e. paper feed direction)
length of 480 dots or less can be printed (on condition that the y direction
length of 480 dots has been set using ESC W and print direction value "n"
has been set to 1 or 3 using ESC T).
4. Print data buffering in a printable area
Print data is buffered in a specified printable area using the following
procedure.
(1) A printable area is specified using
feed operations previous to the
