When the ruffing blade get the nearest to needle,
the needle be touched the fablic.
The adjustment should be made by opening top
cover and adjust the timing pulley position after
loosening screw (A). See Fig 6.

At the end of each day, remove the presser foot
and the needle plate and then clean the slots
of the needle plate and the area around the
feed dogs.
