Congratulations on your choice of home charger and thank you for contributing to a better environment!

The product satisfies enclosure class IP44 with closed front.
The home charger must be wall mounted and a qualified electrician shall perform all installation.
Charging the Electric Car
Important information:
For chargers with type 2 sockets, the cable must/cannot be removed from the home charger during
charging. Some car models have a built-in function that means the cable cannot be removed from the
car during charging.
GARO's home charger can be equipped with either a socket (B1) or cable and connector
(B3). If your home charger is equipped with a socket , it is important that the correct type of cable is used.
The cable and connector must be marked with at least the same amperage as the charger. For example a 32A
charger requires at least a 32A cable.
The status of the home charger can be read depending on the colour of the indication lamp o(B1):
• Green solid light: ready for charging
• Blue solid light: the charger is connected to the car, charging is in progress. (Blue light flashes 3 times
during the start of charging)
• Red/Yellow light: error, see the troubleshooting section.
Resetting/Test running the residual current device or residual current circuit breaker with
over current protection
The home charger is equipped with a residual current circuit breaker with over current protection (1-phase)
or residual current device (3-phase) p(B2). These can trip in the event of an overload/ground fault. These
components must also be test run 1-2 times per year depending on the environment.
Reset/Test running procedure:
1.
Unlock the front cover using the supplied key k(B1).
2.
Open the front cover j by sliding it downwards (B7).
3.
Reset the breaker's rocker p(B2).
4.
Close the front cover by sliding it upwards.
5.
Lock the front with the key.
Important!
The front coverj must always be locked in the up position to give enclosure class IP44!
