Assembly

4.1 Fixing belt for oxygen cylinder

Ensure that spilled liquids, e.g. from ampoules, are removed
immediately, otherwise they could destroy the backpack and
injure the user. In this respect, comply with the warning and
disposal instructions from the manufacturer concerned.
Comply with Section "6 Hygienic preparation" to prevent
infection or bacterial contamination.
When the backpack is equipped with oxygen cylinders and
other equipment, it is essential to comply with the relevant
instructions for use and the special information concerning this
equipment.
Keep the equipment free from oil and grease.
It is essential to wash your hands before changing cylinders.
During assembly and when changing cylinders, tighten the
screw connections by hand only. On no account use a tool for
this purpose.
Always open the cylinder valve gradually.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke or use open flames close to
oxygen-carrying fittings.
Always ensure provision of adequately filled oxygen cylinders.
It is advisable to keep a full oxygen cylinder in reserve.
If oxygen cylinder sizes 0.8 l or 2.0 l are to be secured in the base
of the rear section, this can be done with the cylinder fixing belts
15 WM 15141. Secure the oxygen cylinder as shown in the
illustrations.
