Skid Plate Kit Parts & Tools: Note: Bracket shown installed in-position, in duplicate. REQUIRED TOOLS: KIT CONTENTS LIST: Safety Glasses A.) Transfer Case Skid Plate (1) 17mm, 18mm & 19mm Socket B.) Transfer Case Cross Brace (1) Ratchet C.) M10 x 30 Bolts (2) Torque Wrench (ft lbs) D.) M10 Lock Washers (2) E.) M10 Flat Washers (2) - Page 4 Skid Plate Installation: Factory Skid Plate STEP 1: Put on safety glasses. Removal of the factory Transfer case skid plate: this step is also covered in the engine skid plate instructions. Remove the 4 factory bolts with a 18 mm socket. Discard the factory skid plate, it will not be reused. STEP 2: Using an 18mm socket Secure the new Cross Brace onto the frame using the factory transfer skid plate mounting locations and (2) factory fasteners.
- Page 5 Skid Plate Installation: STEP 3: Loosen, but do not remove the rear fasteners of the Quadratec Engine Skid plate with a 17 and 19mm sockets. This allows room to mate the Transfer Case skid plate as shown below. STEP 4: Slide the front of the Transfer Case Skid Plate (A) underneath the rear of the engine skid plate so that the slots line up with the bolts.
- Page 6 Skid Plate Installation: STEP 5: Install the (2) M10x30 bolts (C), lock washers (D) and flat washers (E) through the holes at the rear of the skid pate and thread them into the cross brace. Snug but do not fully tighten with a 17mm socket. Next, loosely tighten the rear bolts of the engine skid plate with a 17mm and 19mm socket.
