Step 4: Use API mode to talk to XBee modules

This section shows you how to configure an XBee module in API mode, which gives you flexibility,
speed, and reliability in your data transmissions.

Configure a device in API mode
1. Select XBEE_A and click the Configuration working modes button
2. Add this configuration:
AP: API Mode 1
3. Click the Write radio settings button
The Port indicates XBEE_A is in API mode.
