6. In the section "Preparing the HP 8 1 1 2A for servicing" in
Chapter 1 0 . 1 , replace the procedure with the following text :
1 . Remove all four feet at the rear of the instrument by
unscrewing the fastening screws.
2. Remove the single screw holding the instrument top cover
to the rear panel.
3. Remove the cover by sliding it backwards.
4. Remove the four screws securing the microprocessor board.
5. Lift the microprocessor board and stand it vertically by
placing the cut-outs on the edge of the board over the locating
lugs on the inside of the right-hand side-panel (as seen from
the front of the instrument) .

6. Remove the screen covering the control board.
Lift the control board and stand it vertically by placing the
cut-outs on the edge of the board over the locating lugs on the
inside of the left-hand side-panel (as seen from the front of the
instrument ).

In the section "Troubleshooting the Power Supply" in
Chapter 10.2 delete the sub-sections "Removing the Fan" , and
"Re-fitting the Fan" . Replace these sections with the following:
Starting with the instrument in its servicing position (as
described in Chapter 1 0 . 1 and referring to Figure B-12:
