The Staging Process

Introduction
Staging is the process that prepares a DHCT or CableCARD module to
operate correctly on a cable service provider's network. When a
DHCT/CableCard is properly staged, it has all of the software and the
authorization information that it needs to display programming and
other data in the subscriber's home.
This chapter provides and overview of the methods for downloading
client release software and for installing authorization Entitlement
Management Messages (EMMs).
