If you leave the computer at
any time during the removal
and replacement procedure,
remember to touch some part
of the metal chassis before
resuming the procedure.

IV. Removing the Hard Drive
To remove the hard drive, complete the following procedure.
1. Remove the screw securing the hard drive bracket to the
chassis base and save it for your replacement hard drive
(see Figure 4-1).
Note: It is recommended that you save the screws removed when
replacing your defective part. You will need them when installing your
replacement part.
