This section describes safety procedures and requirements for operating the

SCOPIA 400 platform, including the following topics:

ESD Procedures

To avoid an electric shock or damage to the SCOPIA 400 platform, servicing

should be performed by qualified service personnel only.

To reduce the risk of damaging power surges,

installing an AC surge arrestor in the AC outlet from which the SCOPIA 400

platform is powered.
