The KESSEL submersible pumps KTP 300, 500 1000 with fully automatic float switch control can
be used as a basement sump pump to dewater basements. In the case that the pump is to be
permanently installed in a sump pit, the installation of a DN 50 conduit allows for proper power
chord installation and also serves as sump pit ventilation in the case that the sump pit is cover-
ed / sealed. Removal of the pump for use elsewhere is always possible.

In the case that the KTP 500 is to be used in a per-
CAUTION:
manent application, the body of the pump must be
ventilated. As seen in the KTP 500 illustration there is
a recessed hole on the pump body which should be
drilled out with a 6mm drill bit – this also goes for the
KTP 300 which requires a 4mm drill bit (see illustrati-
on). Be sure to only drill through the pump housing,
do not drill too deep as you may damage the pump.
