Connecting to
Network Devices
1 Remove the protective plug from the port that you want to use.
2 Hold the fiber-optic cable in the vertical position.
3 Make sure the stopper that is located on the end of the cable is facing to

Each of the OC-3/STM-1 and OC-12/STM-4 ports are available in
single-mode or multi-mode. Single-mode ports support single-mode
cables, and multi-mode ports support multi-mode cables. For more
information on single and multi-mode ports see the ATM Interface
Module User Guide.
