configure terminal -> interface vlan 1 -> ip address <IP address> <subnet mask>: Setup the
switch IP address. The following picture is an example of how to configure the device IP into
192.168.16.88

copy running-config startup- config: Save the current configuration to start-up configuration.
The configuration will be saved into Flash so that the desired configuration setup will be in
effect at the next startup.
PS: All configuration changes must be saved otherwise all the changes will be lost after
rebooting!
