system or climbing protection. Refer figure 12 the gear loop MUST ONLY be used for hanging secure gear and NEVER A fall arrest system or work position
system.
Avoid or prevent any hazards that may affect the performance of the equipment and take the necessary safety precautions. Ensure the product is not exposed
to extremes of temperature, sharp edges, chemical reagents, electrical conductivity, cutting, abrasion, climatic exposure. Pay attention to the pendulum falls
and suspension trauma.
The user must have a rescue plan and the means at hand to implement it, and that plan must take into account the equipment and special training necessary
to effect prompt rescue under all foreseeable conditions.
Assigning the harness to a user to allow tracking of harness usage is recommended. These instructions and record card should be issued with and kept with
each harness.
The side D-Rings (See figure 2, mark 2A) of a harness MUST ONLY be used for being connected to a work positioning system (EN 358:1999) and NEVER a
fall arrest system or climbing protection. Always use both side D-Rings together. For work positioning applications, a separate fall arrest system must be used.
Adjust work position lanyard so that the anchorage point is maintained at or above waist level (See figure 2, mark 2B).
This ventral D-Ring (See figure 3, mark 3A) MUST ONLY be used for seat harness systems (EN 813:2008) and NEVER A fall arrest system. Use ventral
D-Ring to attach a descender, positioning lanyards or progression lanyards.
The harness is designed for one user. A user must be in good physical health in order to carry out work at heights. Certain medical conditions can threaten the
user's safety during normal use of harness and in emergencies (taking medications, cardiovascular problem, etc.). In any case of doubt, consult your physician
before using. Pregnant women and minors MUST NEVER use the harness.
DO NOT modify, alter or attempt to repair the harness. The harness must only be used for its intended purpose and never beyond its limitations.
It is essential for safety that harness is withdrawn from use immediately should: 1) Any doubt arise about its conditions for safe use or 2) It has been used to
arrest a fall. If so, it must not used again until confirmed in writing by a competent person that it is acceptable to do so.
It is essential for the safety of the user that if the product is re-sold outside the original country of destination the reseller shall provide instructions and additional
relevant information for use, for maintenance, for periodic examination and for repair in the language of the country in which the product is to be used.
Failure to follow these warnings can cause serious personal injuries or death.
The webbings are made from Polyester. The back support is made from EVA and Foam. All load bearing hardware is Zinc plated alloy steel or aluminum alloy.
Clean and disinfecting the product with a solution of water and mild laundry detergent. When the equipment becomes wet, either from being in use or when
due to cleaning, it shall be allowed to dry naturally, and shall be kept away from direct heat. Excessive accumulation of dirt, paint, or other foreign matter may
prevent proper function of the product, and in severe cases, weaken the webbing. To clean and disinfect buckles use a cotton swab to remove any foreign
material which is in the buckle. In dusty environments, dipping the buckle into a container of water may be used to rinse out fine particles that may prevent
proper function of buckles. Dry buckle on the outside with a clean cloth and allow inside of buckle to air dry. Questions concerning product conditions and
cleaning should be directed to MSA. The cleaning & disinfection procedure is to be strictly adhered to. Equipment which is damaged or in need of maintenance
must be tagged as "UNUSABLE" and removed from service. Corrective maintenance (other than cleaning) and repair, such as replacement of elements, must
be performed by the MSA factory. Do not attempt field repairs.
Store the product in a cool, dry and clean place out of direct sunlight. Avoid areas where heat, moisture, light, oil, and chemicals or their vapors or other
degrading elements may be present. Equipment which is damaged or in needed of maintenance should not be stored in the same area as usable equipment.
Heavily soiled, wet, or otherwise contaminated equipment should be properly maintained (e.g. dried and cleaned) prior to storage. Prior to using equipment
which has been stored for long periods of time a formal Inspection should be performed by a competent person. Transport the product in a package to protect
it from cuts, moisture, chemicals and their vapors, extreme temperatures, and ultraviolet rays. Do not lubricate the harness.
