7.5 Fitting the display
Select a place to install the display so that it is not in airbag inflation or
head impact zone, and where the driver does not need to reach through
the steering wheel while driving to operate MAGIC CONTROL.
One suitable location is on the dashboard where there is a dummy plug
(r, page 10).
➤ Take out the dummy plug (r, page 10).
➤ Make a hole 12 mm in diameter in the dummy plug (s A, page 11).
➤ Fasten the display to the dummy plug using double-sided adhesive tape
(s B, page 11).
➤ Put the dummy plug with the display back in (t, page 11).
➤ Run the display cable to the controller.

Electrical connections

Warning
To prevent short circuits, always disconnect the negative terminal
of the electrical system before working on the vehicle.
If the vehicle has an additional battery, its negative terminal should
also be disconnected.
➤ Make the connections using the wiring diagram (D, page 14).
