the dashboard. Make an interference diagnosis (see chapter "Performing an
interference diagnosis" on page 63).
Use the 4 m antenna (2 5, page 4), if you cannot achieve interference-free
reception using the 17 cm antenna.
Note
Before you finally fasten the antenna, make an interference
diagnosis (see chapter "Performing an interference diagnosis" on
page 63).
➤ Pull the protective cap off the plug of the selected antenna.
➤ Put the plug of the selected antenna in the socket on the controller
(6 1, page 5).
➤ If using the 17 cm antenna fasten it to the dashboard using insulating
tape.
➤ If using the 4 m antenna, lay the antenna in the engine compartment (n,
page 9) or run it from the front to the back of the vehicle.
Note
Before laying the antenna in the engine compartment, make an
interference diagnosis with the antenna temporarily laid inside
(see chapter "Performing an interference diagnosis" on page 63).
➤ Pull the antenna through a suitable hole in the engine compartment
(o, page 10).
➤ Lay the antenna along the brake line towards the rear axle and fasten it
using the cable ties supplied (p, page 10). Make sure the antenna does
