How to Load Sheets for Double Cycle Collating

The double cycle function enables you to divide the collator to two sections. While feeding from either section, you can
load sheets into the other section. This allows you to continue the collating operation without stopping the collator.

Prepare for the collating operation with the
double cycle function.
(1) Load the sheets. Refer to the illustration at the bottom
of this page. (The pattern used to load sheets
depends on how many collators are connected.)
(2) Set the receiving tray to match the sheet size.
(3) Turn on the main power switch. The machine will dis-
play the Initial screen.
On the Initial screen, press the upper tab.
• The screen indication on the LCD display changes.
Turn on the double cycle function.
Start the collating operation.
This function allows you to divide the collator(s) into
two sections and feed sheets from either section.
• When sheets from section (A) run out, other sheets will
be fed from section (B) automatically. This means that
collating can continue. (One collator: 5 bins each sec-
tion, Two collators: 10 bins each section, Three colla-
tors: 15 bins each section.)
Loading Sheets into the Bins
• Place the tab sheets in the top bin (one collator) or the
top and the next highest bins (two or three collators) in
each section.
• When a single collator is used with the tab insertion
function, load the tab sheets in the 1st and 6th bins
(shown in gray).
• When two collators are used with the tab insertion func-
tion, load the tab sheets in the 1st and 2nd bins on
each collator (shown in gray).
• When three collators are used with the tab insertion
function, load the tab sheets in the 1st and 2nd bins on
the leftmost collator and the 6th and 7th bins on the
middle collator (shown in gray).
