Check Ignition Spark
Before attempting to install, it is worth checking that the electronic ignition
system performs satisfactorily.
3.1.1
Fit the battery to the ignition block located below the burner tray at
the left side (see figure 5). The positive terminal (+) is to the right as you
insert. The guide plate will help you to locate the battery

Rotate the control pivot bracket clockwise as far as it will go (see
figure 6). This should close the ignition circuit.
Sparks should be seen tracking from the electrode pin to the
thermocouple tip (see figure 7).
If there are no sparks make the following checks.
a)
Check condition of battery and that it is correctly fitted.
b)
Check spark gap between electrode wire and thermocouple
tip (see figure 7).
c)
If a & b are satisfactory, check the ignition circuit and
components - see the servicing section in this manual
