0 Header byte = 0x83 (3 bytes including header, bits 6,7 = 2)
1 Bits 0-5: Channel number
Bits 6-7: 0 = reserved, 1 = input, 2 = output, 3 = input/output
2 Bits 0-4: Error type
Bits 5-7: Channel type
