INITIAL SETUP

SYSTEM INITIALIZATION

Press and hold the initialization button.
Apply DC +12V power to the Star 505R. Release the button when the LCD displays "Initialize
OK?"
After installation and cable connections are completed, apply power (DC12V) to the Star 50
5R with the initialization button held down. (The initialization button can be found on the b
ack of the Star 505R.) Then, the LCD will first display "Initialize OK? 1: Yes 0: No". Press <1>
key if you want to initialize the system or <0> to cancel the initialization procedure. After all
the initialization process is completed, the system will be operating in the normal mode and
the LCD will display "Star 505R [F1], MM/DD hh : mm : ss".
If initialization is completed, all of the existing data will be deleted.

ENTERING SETUP MODE

To setup or to change the Star 505R settings, you have to enter the Setup Mode first. To do
so, enter the Master ID (default=00000000)* and press the <ENT> key. There are 4 main Set
up menus and you automatically get into "SETUP MENU F1" first. You can move to other Set
