Lesson 1 – Analog Modules
Function
Single-ended
output of
Audio AWG or
Video AWG
Differential
output of
Audio AWG or
Video AWG
MCA-PMU
or
V Source
In each unit, the single-ended and differential outputs can be switched. The two single-ended out-
puts of each unit (for example, A+ and A- for unit1) cannot be used simultaneously.
All units can be used simultaneously. For each unit, a different core function (such as Audio AWG
or Video AWG) and a different route (single-ended or differential) can be set independently from
other units.
The XX+ pin can be used as the trigger input of the unit (the unit trigger pin) if no core function is
used in the XX+ pin throughout the testflow.
Signal Routing in Source Unit
Per source unit:
1 output at a time of 2 outputs:
Per Source&Measure module (per four source units):
Max. 4 outputs simultaneously of 8 outputs:
(Unit1 A+ or A-), (Unit2 B+ or B-), (Unit3 C+ or C-), and (Unit4 D+ or D-)
Per source unit:
1 output:
X+&X- pair
Per Source&Measure module (per four source units):
Max. 4 outputs simultaneously of 4 outputs:
(Unit1 A+&A- pair), (Unit2 B+&B- pair), (Unit3 C+&C- pair), and (Unit4 D+&D-
pair)
Per source unit:
1 pin at a time of 4 pins:
Per Source&Measure module (per eight units):
Max. 8 pin simultaneously of 32 pins (one pin in each unit)
Sequencer and Waveform Memory
Each unit has one sequencer and one waveform memory. In the
source unit, the sequencer controls the audio AWG or video AWG.
The waveform memory stores the waveform data for the audio
AWG and video AWG.
The MCA-PMU and V source do not use the sequencer nor the
waveform memory.
