Once the project loads, select the Controller menu and click "Change Device", as shown below.

In the Change Device window shown above, modify the Device and Version selections to match the
controller that is currently used.
Establish NJ/NX Communications with PC
The default IP address for NJ/NX port 1 (EtherNet/IP) is 192.168.250.1, subnet 255.255.255.0. On some Omron
controllers, such as the NX1P2 (configuration 2), these units can only communicate via a built-in EtherNet/IP port.
On NJ and NX7 controllers (configuration 1), these units can communicate using a direct connection via USB.
This permits the user to establish an online connection with the controller, modify the built-in EtherNet/IP port
settings, and download these settings to the controller. Once the new settings are downloaded, the Omron
controller will use the new IP address. The procedure to establish a connection via USB is provided as a reference
on the following page.
