Appendix 3.1.1 Target Products
The following Mitsubishi NC products use lithium batteries. The UN Regulations classify the batteries as
dangerous goods (Class 9) or not dangerous goods according to the lithium metal content. If the batteries
subjected to hazardous materials are incorporated in a device and shipped, a dedicated packaging (UN
packaging) is not required.
However, in order to avoid an accidental actuation during the transportation, all lithium battery products
incorporated in a machinery or device must be fixed securely and must be shipped with wrapped over the
outer package as to prevent damage or short-circuits.

(Note 1) Products need dedicated packaging (for materials falling under Class 9) and requires package drop
test certificate (for materials not falling under Class 9) unless the lithium battery is incorporated in
the machinery.
(Note 2) Always use the cell battery (A6BAT) in combination with the dedicated case (MDS-BTCASE).
Maximum 8 (either 2, 4, 6 or 8) cell batteries (A6BAT) can be installed to the dedicated case (MDS-
BTCASE).
