Electrical connection

The Active Interface Module is electrically connected in accordance with the connection
examples shown in section "Interface description".
Operating an Active Interface Module on a grounded system/IT system
When the device is operated on a non-grounded line supply/IT line supply, the connection
bracket to the interference suppression capacitor must be removed (e.g.: see "1" in figure
below).
The interface overview in the section "Interface description" shows the installation position of
the connection bracket on the different frame sizes.
With devices of frame sizes HI and JI, two connection brackets must be removed.

Failing to remove the connection bracket for the noise suppression capacitor on a non-
grounded system/IT system can cause significant damage to the unit.
