Procedure:
The Output Limiting parameters are set by selecting the Mode, setting the limit value and enabling the
desired alarms.

The Limit alarm, when enabled, only informs the user that the output limiting is active. It does not affect
the output limiting behavior.
The maximum Power limiting supported by the Elexant 4010i/4020i is a function of the external Current
Turns Ratio (see Section 5.8.1.2) and the external Voltage Turns Ratio (see Section 5.8.3.2).
The maximum current limiting supported by the Elexant 4010i/4020i is a function of the external Current
Turns Ratio (see Section 5.8.1.2).

SSR Limiting (Switch Protection)

Default: 30.0 A
Purpose:
The SSR Limiting (Switch Protection) feature is available when an SSR output switch is used. It is
intended to minimize the chance of damaging an SSR during unusual inrush current situations.
The SSR Rating alarm, if enabled, will only inform the user that switch limiting is active and an
excessively high current condition is present.
The controller pulses its output switch for a small interval and reads the resulting current. If the
measured current exceeds the SSR Rating setting, then the duty cycle of its output switch is reduced
so that an average current, not exceeding the SSR Rating setting, is maintained.
IMPORTANT: This alarm should generally be left enabled. Currents in this range cannot be considered
normal and should be investigated.
The maximum SSR Rating supported by the Elexant 4010i/4020i is a function of the external current turn
ratio (see Section 5.8.1.2).
