2007 ENGINE PERFORMANCE On-Board Diagnostic (MZI-3.5) - CX-9
POSITION (APP) SENSOR
INSPECTION [MZI-3.5]. )
Is there any malfunction?

INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR FOR
POOR CONNECTION
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the PCM connector.
Inspect for poor connection (such
as damaged/pulled-out pins,
corrosion).
Are there any malfunction?

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF
DTC P2127 HAS BEEN
COMPLETED
Verify that all disconnected
connectors reconnected.
Clear the DTC from the PCM
memory using the M-MDS.
Start the engine.
Is the same DTC present?

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR
PROCEDURE
Perform the "AFTER REPAIR
PROCEDURE".

Are any DTC present?
DTC P2128 [MZI-3.5]

Open circuit wiring harness between APP sensor terminal F and PCM terminal 1B
Open circuit wiring harness between APP sensor terminal D and PCM terminal 1Y
Open circuit wiring harness between APP sensor terminal G and PCM terminal 1A
No
Go to the next step.
Yes
Repair or replace suspected part, then go to
Step 7.
No
Go to the next step.
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
