3.3.1 Upper safety hood
To protect the saw blade above the table there
must be an adjustable removable protection de-
vice. (DIN EN 1870-1)
Changing the safety hood
When working with a tilted saw blade replace the
narrow hood with the wide hood.
Never replace the safety hood when the saw blade
is running!
Replacing the safety hood:
–
After releasing the securing screw, pull the
hood out forwards.

To fit it, place the safety hood in the hood carrier
–
Push the safety hood up to the end until the two
arrows are one above the othe
–
Tighten the securing screw

Swung away the safety device
You may only work with the swung away safety
hood in special cases taking extra care, e.g.
with bulky workpieces (carcass). When you
have finished, the safety device is to be moved
back immediately into its operating position!

Swung away the safety device:
–
Switch off the main switch and prevent it from
being switched on again
–
Release the clamping screw
–
The safety device can be moved out of the way
After you have finished move the safety hood
back into its normal working position!
