4.17 Editing the valve characteristic
Plane adaptation
Various non-linear effects of the valve or drive can be compensated using characteristics.
The characteristics are cascaded so that they can be set separately.
In order to compensate the direction-dependent controlled system gain for differential
cylinders, a characteristic with a gradient that can be changed depending on the direction
has been implemented. The following figure shows a characteristic example and illustrates
how the associated SINAMICS parameter works. In practice, only one of the gradients is
weighted with a factor not equal to 100 %. Normally, the gradient that causes the cylinder
drive to extend is weighted with a factor less than 100 %.
