(1) Obtain the C of C and either confirm or enter the device serial number into the Serial Number line in the
Spectrograph tab. The device serial number is located in the top red oval in the above figure.
(2) The next step is to enter the Average Pixel Dispersion, shown as Average Pixel Disp. The C of C values are in
nanometers but need to be entered into the spectrograph as micrometers (microns). The second value is the Pixel
() Wavelength which is entered into the Spectrograph in nanometers, as it is written in the C of C.
(3) The Pixel Pitch value is Nominal Pixel Pitch on the C of C, which is written in nanometers. Enter the value into
the Spectrograph in micrometers.

3.3.1.4 Settings_Post Grab Tab.

The Post Grab settings tab is used to identify the wavelengths and set the Area of Interest (AOI) for the captured scan.
While a broad spectrum of wavelengths can be collected for a significant area, the Post Grab configuration sets the part of
the capture that is of interest to be reviewed. The AOI units are in pixels, as are the column and row binning values. The
binning allows for faster processing and reduced signal to noise ratios, by shifting a spectral line prior to readout. Because
the sensor uses a high aspect ratio slit, the binning causes minimal deterioration in spectral resolution in the readout
process.
