All systems are configured and tested prior to shipping from the Headwall facility. The flash drive included with the
sensor contains the configuration files in a folder identified as sensorConfig. This folder should be copied from the
included flash drive and pasted into the C:\\headwall directory. Once this is done, the particular sensor is configured with
®
®
the software and is ready to use in Hyperspec
III. If another sensor is used, Hyperspec
III is used to properly configure
that unit, using the C of C data.

2.4 FIRMWARE UPGRADE

Headwall continues improving the Nano's operating firmware to add features or user functionality based on feedback
from customers. When a number of the enhancements are bundled they are made available to all users to update their units
and benefit from the added features.
The firmware update is contained in a tar file that can either be e-mailed to or downloaded by a customer with an
operating Nano. The tar file can be placed into the C:\\headwall directory
®
After the tar file is downloaded, connect the Nano to the operating computer that has Hyperspec
III. Start Hyperspec®
and once activated, power on the Nano. When the Nano's front panel light is green, click the Settings button on the
®
Hyperspec
III log dock. When the Settings panel opens, click the Sensor tab, as in the following figure.
