Troubleshooting

When troubleshooting the gateway, first check the LED indicators described in
Section 8.3. Self-diagnosis. If there is a LED flashing, a coarse error can be located
through the flashing pattern of the LED.

Gateway diagnostics

Detailed information about the error may be available in the diagnostics that can be
uploaded from the gateway. For details about uploading, see Section 5.4.2.3. Upload
diagnostics.
STATUS
SPA_LED_a
Indicates
No power to the gateway.
Power ON. Running in configuration mode.
Power ON. Running in application mode.
Configuration error. Test of the onboard configuration file failed
(gateway not operational).
Hardware error (Flash, SRAM, ABS).
SPA/Cfg Communication Idle.
Serial Message Transmission when in Application mode (Until SPA
goes on-line) and when in configuration mode.
SPA Network on-line.
Serial message reception error when in both application and
configuration mode
(framing, parity, CRC error etc.).
No SPA slave attached or cabling problem (SPA Network Offline).
