1.
Insert the BlackBerry Desktop Software installation CD in your CD-ROM drive.

On the Windows taskbar, click Start and click Run. In the Open field, type
d:\setup.exe where d is the name of your CD-ROM drive. Press Enter. The
Welcome screen appears.
Note
If a previous version of the desktop software is detected, you will be
prompted to remove the desktop software before the Welcome screen
appears.

Click Next to begin the installation. The Country Selection screen appears.
4.
Select your country and click Next. The License Agreement window appears.
Read the License Agreement carefully and click Yes to accept its terms. The
Customer Information screen appears.
5.
In the User Name and Company Name fields, type your name and your
company's name. Click Next. The Email Integration Options screen appears.
6.
Select the integration option that you want to apply to this installation of the
desktop software.
Note
If you have both an enterprise email account and a new or ISP email
account, you can configure your handheld to support both accounts (using
multiple service books). To use multiple service books, integrate the desktop
software with your enterprise email account. After you have completed the
setup for your enterprise email account, activate your handheld on the
BlackBerry Web Client.
7.
After you select your integration option, click Next.

Getting started — Installing the desktop software
If you choose to integrate your desktop software with your enterprise
email account, the Select Email System screen appears. Continue the
installation as described below.
If you choose to integrate your desktop software with a new or ISP
email account, proceed to step 10 to continue the installation.
