ANCP Adjacencies

The ANCP server accepts TCP connections from access nodes. An ANCP neighbor is any access node
that establishes an adjacency with an ANCP server. ANCP is configured globally, and as long as it is
IP-enabled, there is no restriction on whether ANCP messages are received on the physical or logical
interface.

Only Rate Adaptive Mode is supported in Cisco IOS XR Release 3.7.2.
VPN routing and forwarding (VRF) awareness is not supported in Cisco IOS XR Release 3.7.2. All
IP interfaces receiving ANCP traffic should be in default VRF.
ANCP over IPv6 is not supported for Cisco IOS XR Release 3.7.2.
Only VLAN subinterfaces over Ethernet and Ethernet bundle ports can be mapped to AN ports using
ANCP.
