Flueing options

The below options detail the most common types of flue installations. If you have an
installation that varies from those below, please contact Rinnai.

Masonry without a flexiliner flue
For installations into a masonry cavity where
the chimney has been swept, checked for
soundness and ability to achieve a good draw.
Masonry with flexiliner flue
For installations into a masonry cavity where
a Rinnai aluminium flue is required to ensure
optimum performance of the appliance.
Inbuilt mock chimney direct and offset
For installations into a combustible opening
with a zero clearance box, where the flue runs
vertically in-wall.
Inbuilt mock chimney offset wall penetration
For installations into a combustible opening
with a zero clearance box. Flue runs in-wall,
then penetrates the building before terminating
vertically.
Typically used in multi-storey dwellings where
the fire is installed on the ground floor.
Freestanding vertical
Straight vertical or with an offset in the roof
space.
Freestanding with offset wall penetration
Flue runs vertically, penetrates the building
before terminating vertically.
Typically used in multi-storey dwellings where
the fire is installed on the ground floor.
