Technical Description

The fan submodule variants 6ES5 988-3LA11 (230 V AC) and
6ES5 988-3NA11 (24 V DC) are described in the following section.

Heat dissipation
The fan submodule dissipates any excess heat created in the central
controller or expansion unit.
