The switch status assumes the value defined in this parameter. This helps to check correct
operation of connected control units.
 Expert → Diagnostics → Simulation → Device alarm simulation
Switch the device alarm on and off.

Off
When selecting the On option, the device generates an alarm. This helps to check the
correct output behavior of the device in the case of an alarm.
An active simulation is indicated by the diagnostic message C484 Failure mode
simulation.
 Expert → Diagnostics → Simulation → Diagnostic event simulation
Select the diagnostic event to be simulated. Note: To terminate the simulation, select ' O ff' .

When operated via the local display, the selection list can be filtered according to the event
categories (Diagnostic event category parameter).
